Ashes is an artistic response to the destruction of my daughter’s home and farm in two wildfires in Oregon in 2020 and 2021.

All that was left was ash, everything was black, brown or gray, without color.

This sculptural book was created with parchment, acrylic pigments, a white pearl, and black linen thread.

The book is titled in red on the first leaf.The book is housed in a single tray box with a magnetic closure.

It was created in 2022.
